Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TheTech, a Discord application, and its web dashboard (together, the “Service”), operated by BobbyTheTech. By adding TheTech to a Discord server, using its commands, or signing in to the dashboard, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, remove the Bot and stop using the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must meet Discord’s own minimum age requirement for your country to use the Service. You must also comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times. Nothing in these terms overrides them.

2. What the Service does

TheTech provides moderation tools, automated moderation, audit logging, music playback, reaction roles, support tickets, announcement and embed tools, and a set of games including a virtual economy, casino-style minigames, and a fictional cultivation game.

Server administrators control which features are enabled in their server. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

3. Virtual currency and games

The Service includes virtual coins, items, and game progress. These have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value, and are not owned by you. We may adjust, reset, or remove balances and items at any time, including to correct exploits or errors.

Virtual coins are earned through play only. We do not sell virtual currency, and buying or selling coins, items, or accounts for real money — with us or between users — is prohibited.

The casino-style commands are games of chance using virtual currency only. They involve no real money, no purchase, and no prize of value, and are provided for entertainment.

The cultivation game is fiction. It depicts no real activity, provides no instruction, and endorses nothing. Server administrators may disable it.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Use the Service to break the law or Discord’s rules
• Use it to harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against anyone
• Exploit bugs, or use automation, alt accounts, or manipulation to gain currency, items, or rank
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its API, its database, or its hosting
• Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or rebrand the Service
• Overload the Service, including by automated or excessive requests
• Use moderation features to conceal or facilitate abuse

5. Server administrators

If you add TheTech to a server, you are responsible for how it is configured and used there. That includes telling your members what is logged, respecting their privacy, and ensuring your configuration complies with applicable law. You must have permission to add applications to that server.

Certain features record moderation actions and can log message edits and deletions to a channel you choose. It is your responsibility to disclose this to your members where the law requires it.

6. Dashboard access

The dashboard authenticates via Discord. You may only configure servers where Discord reports you hold the Manage Server permission. You are responsible for actions taken through your account. Do not share access.

7. Paid features

Some features may require payment. Where subscriptions are sold through Discord, Discord is the merchant and its terms and refund policy apply to the transaction. Where payment is taken through another processor, the terms shown at checkout apply.

Prices may change with notice. Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Paid features are conveniences and cosmetics; they do not confer advantage in moderation or safety tooling, which remains available to all servers.

Refunds are handled as described at the point of sale and as required by applicable consumer law. We may suspend paid features without refund where these terms are breached.

8. Availability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no guarantee of uptime, and may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We do not guarantee that data, settings, balances, or playlists will be preserved, and you should not rely on the Service as a system of record.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any user or server, at any time, for breach of these terms or Discord’s rules, or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing TheTech from your server.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in our support server or on this page, with the date above updated. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
